While everyone’s attention is focused on Washington, we’re scouring the globe for important news for sophisticated business travelers. We couldn’t help but notice the lucky revelers sitting on balconies the The Willard and also enjoyed the view on TV from the roof of The Hay-Adams Hotel.

Elsewhere, Kimpton has opened a new restaurant in Miami: Area 31. We haven’t had a chance to try it yet and would love to have a review from one of our fellow nomads.

Kimpton has also announced a March sale at it San Francisco properties. There are savings of 20 – 30% per night as well as an included continental breakfast.

Boston-area restaurant group Not Your Average Joe’s has announced that on Wednesday evenings they will offer a two-entree-plus-a-bottle-of-wine dinner for just $39.  Joe’s doesn’t normally make our list because it is on the casual side but this deal was too good not to pass on.
