The last time I was there, back in June, I stayed for the first time at <a href="http://www.hotel-abri.com/" rel="nofollow">The Hotel Abri</a> and thought it was fabulous. It's a boutique hotel, which I prefer, and they upgraded us to a suite at no extra charge. Book with your AAA card and you'll get a $25 gas card when you check in, making the daily rate well under $200. Plus it's in a great neighborhood -- right near Union Square. The hotel is run by the Larkspur Group, so based on my experience there, I'd happily try their other hotels as well. Love San Francisco!
