Scout, our Rhodesian Ridgeback mix, is partial to Best Westerns but to be honest, we've never experimented with a true dog-friendly high-end hotel. I do find that what I often really need is a doggie babysitter. When we were in out of town for a funeral (yes, with our dog, bad form I know) we had to hire a dog-walker to keep the dog during the service because all family members were attending the funeral.
