Post-visit, the Cram was a joy. Lovely, attentive service, just like I remembered. Because of a plumbing problem we changed rooms mid-stay and as a result saw several. None of them had the display bathroom shown above.

The Grand Hotel in Minneapolis loves this design. The bathrooms are very nice and huge. But the glass door to the toilet is a little odd...but hey most hotels don't even have a separate "room" within the bathroom for the toilet so who am I to complain.

Trump Tower in Vegas (LARGE bathrooms), have a glassed in shower, and a frosted glass door on the toilet, sinks and a sizable Jacuzzi tub are stationed just outside these doors in a good size room, the outer door is however solid. Mandalay Bay has a large picture window over the equally large Jacuzzi. The window (at least in my recent stay there) faces the entry hall so there is nothing to look at and it really serves no purpose (light, air, view)
The Rio (it is a Vegas theme here) has strategically placed portholes in the shower that look out into the room (they are suites) giving NEW meaning to entertaining your guests...

The Novotel at the Munich Fair Grounds has a very modern frosted glass door with brushed chrome hardware. (I first went there almost 5 years ago so they were ahead of the curve)

John,
Try the Claris. Failing that, check out the listings at Tablet Hotels for a number of contemporary properties.

We had two rooms at the Cram and both had the glass-walled bathrooms and the bathrooms were situated such that it was hard not to see what was going on.

Oh, my! No! This is hilarious! I have a reservation to stay at the CRAM this weekend with my partner! I've got to change it today!

I stayed there alone several years ago, but forgot about the bathroom. Are all the rooms like this?

Too funny.

I agree and so far all my clients do too. I've seen pix of some sexy hotel rooms in both Prague in at Hvar Island in Croatia -- but no takers.

I believe the Halekulani was the one who started this trend with Diamond Head views from the bathtub.... that was (and is nice)

Hotel 57 in mid-town does this as well but the glass is btwn the outside wall of the bathroom and the main sleeping area. Actually annoying if you fling the light on in the middle of the night.
