Do You Use Temporary Offices?

Regus is a company that offers a variety of temporary offices around the world. Have you used them or something else like them? What have your experiences been like? Are they a viable alternative to sitting at Starbucks or in your hotel room?

We’re planning to check them out and will let you know what we discover but any of your advance thoughts, insights, questions, and concerns would be helpful.

Personally, I have not used them but I have spoken with Peter at ThinkSpace http://www.thinkspace.com/ several times before. They have a LEED Certified Green Interior and operate an office in a responsible sustainable manner. Thinkspace goes one step further and also calculates the carbon footprint for each individual office and provides an easy way for each company to become carbon neutral. You may want to check them out.

Regus provides a network of offices and meeting places around the world. We have our main offices in one of their buildings in downtown Boston, and have used their buildings to meet with clients all over the world. It’s a great service, and economical depending on how you configure it. The incidental charges can get quite high if you don’t monitor them closely. The Regus people are great and the offices are well-maintained. We are enthusiastic users.
